India are all set to face Colombia in the second group-stage game of the FIFA U-17 World Cup at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Monday.

Coming back from defeats in the first game against USA and Ghana respectively, India and Colombia will be looking to bounce back in Group A.

With impressive performances from winger Komal Thatal and goalkeeper Dheeraj Singh, India need to win this game against the South Americans as without a single point and a goal difference of -3, India sits bottom of Group A.

The blues had a positive second half against the Americans on Friday, but have a lot of ground to cover against the competitive sides.

Good news for manager de Matos as full-back Boris Singh makes a comeback from a suspension.

Colombia need a win as well after the 1-0 loss to Ghana and forward Jaminton Campaz, and midfield duo Andres Perea and Etilso Martinez will look to grab three points against the host country.

Abhijit Sarkar could be dropped after a disappointing game against USA with Nongdamba Naorem as his replacement. A change in formation could help De Matos’ side with a 4-2-3-1 switch from the usual 4-3-3.

India could hit Colombia on the counter as they hold a high defensive line where Komal Thatal is expected to create chances and striker Aniket Jadhav needs to finish whatever chances come his way.

Team India need to be wary of Colombia’s attack at the same time and surely, the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium will back the home side.
