Mumbai City FC held home team Kerala Blasters to a 1-1 draw in Hero Indian Super League Season 4 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi on Sunday.

Rene Muelensteen's team are still without a win this season and their hopes for three points were dashed by Mumbai City FC forward Balwant Singh when he equalised in the 77th minute.

Mark Sifneos had given the home side the lead with a Rino Anto cross in the 14th minute with former Manchester United forward Dimitar Berbatov pulling the strings from midfield.

Kerala Blasters looked like they were bagging their first win of the season after consecutive 0-0 draws but Everton Santos’ cross was met by Balwant Singh to balance the game out at 1-1 with 13 minutes plus added time to play. Kerala Blasters' CK Vineeth was sent off for diving in the dying minutes

The home side looked in good shape right from the start with Berbatov and Pekuson putting in an impressive performance but they couldn’t convert it into a victory.

Mumbai City FC played the Blasters on the back of a narrow 1-2 loss against FC Pune City but put in a gutsy performance that saw them pick up a point in the end.

We play Chennaiyin FC on December 10 at the Mumbai Football Arena.
