ISL 2018/19: Mumbai City FC sign Alen Deory on a two-year deal

Alen, along with Mumbai City FC players, Davinder Singh and Subhasish Bose was recently called up to the National Team Camp ahead of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship.

Assamese midfielder Alen Deory was signed by Mumbai City FC (MCFC) on a two-year deal on Tuesday. The 22-year-old midfielder was recently called up to the Indian national team by Stephen Constantine due to his notable performances. 

Alen has been associated with I-League club Shillong Lajong since 2014. He was on loan with NorthEast United FC in 2014 and 2015 in ISL and made seven appearances for the club.

However, it was the 2017-18 season that witnessed Alen emerge as an important first team player for Lajong. Subsequently, he has also come through the ranks of Sports Authority of India (SAI) and was also associated with All India Football Federation (AIFF) Elite Academy.

MCFC took to Twitter to declare the signing of the midfielder: 

Alen has also been called up for the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship and will represent the national side. The camp for the same is scheduled to begin from July 28 at Delhi.
