First Half

  • USA started the game with a high tempo as the men in blue struggled for possession and couldn’t really get the ball moving in midfield.
  • Goalkeeper Dheeraj Singh made a stunning effort to keep USA out.
  • A harsh decision cost India a penalty as USA forward and captain Josh Sargent scored from the spot.
  • After the goal, the Indian players picked up the pace as winger Komal Thatal ran behind the USA defence.
  • Komal appeals for a handball but the official didn’t care much.
