In a first-of-its-kind event, Mary Immaculate Girls defeated Apostolic Carmel 3-0 to win Mid-Day's Ranis of Rink 2019. Ranis of Rink witnessed competition amongst U-16 school girls who had participated in the inter-school tournament. 

Girls from eight leading schools participated in Mumbai's first girls U-16 inter-school football tournament at the Arena 31 Turf. The event was hosted by SportingLions Foundation, near the Neville D'Souza ground in Bandra on Saturday.

Mary Immaculate Girls (MIG) were the victors as they managed to emerge worthy champions of ROR 2019. MIG won the title, owing to the display of skill by Angeline Antony, who finished with an overall tally of 12 goals. Apostolic Carmel (Bandra) were no match for MIG as they managed a comfortable 3-0 win in the summit clash.

Meanwhile, Bombay Scottish lost against MIG in a close semi-final encounter that ended in the title-holder's favour as they won in a close match (5-4). However, the Scottish managed to win the bronze medal match, as they defeated AVM (Juhu) 7-6 via tie-breaker after the thrilling encounter was tied 4-4 at the end of regulation time.

MIG's Angeline and Apostolic Carmel's Ash D'Silva were declared Best Forward and Best Defender respectively and received crystal trophies for their efforts.
