Mumbai City FC was quite active during the ISL draft and have secured two expensive signings in the Balwant Singh and Arindam Bhattacharya.

The Ranbir Kapoor co-owned team spent INR 64 lakhs to sign Bhattacharya, who will compete with Amrinder Singh to protect the Mumbai City FC goal. It was slightly surprising to see the local team go big on another keeper as they’d spent a record INR 1.20 Cr on Amrinder Singh earlier.

The 28-year-old Bhattacharya made his debut in the ISL for Pune City FC in 2014 and has managed only 15 appearances. Bhattacharya will be aiming to get much more game-time and prove his worth next season.

Mumbai also drafted a number of experienced players who have been playing top-division football for almost a decade now, including the likes of Mehrajuddin Wadoo, Sanju Pradhan, Raju Gaikwad and Aibor Khongjee.
