The 57-year-old former Costa Rican player led the team to their first ever semi final match last season. Mumbai also topped the league table last term under his management but fell to Atletico de Kolkata in the semis.
He represented Costa Rica in the 1998 World Cup as a player and was the head coach in the 2002 (Korea-Japan) and 2006 (Germany) World Cup.
He represented Costa Rica nationally, despite being born and raised in Brazil.
Let's hope Mumbai City FC flourishes further ahead in the upcoming season of ISL.
