D’Souza Football Academy combined well as a team and enjoyed complete domination against Falcon Brothers, Mulund and charged to a thumping 3-0 victory in a Third Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2019-2020 and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Wednesday.
The Academy lads called the shots from the start and open the scoring through Madan Ghogle’s strike in the 16th minute before Aaron Rebello doubled the lead with the second goal in the 21st minute and five the team a solid 2-0 half-time lead. On resumption, Kenneth Fernandes struck the third goal in the 44th minute to complete the victory.
Earlier, Adarsh Sorte’s second-half goal helped Footie First Juniors get the better of Madanpura SC Under-19 by a narrow 1-0 margin.
In the third match of the day, Chemburities FC eked out a 1-0 win against Rising Sun FC. Striker Shubham Bodke netted the lone winner.
