Panvel registered 119 new COVID-19 cases; one death

119 new COVID-19 cases were found in Panvel municipal area on Wednesday (November 25) while 67 patients were recovered and discharged from the hospital.

Panvel registered 119 new COVID-19 cases; one death

Panvel reported 119 new COVID-19 cases taking the tally up to 25,088, while 67 people have completely recovered in the last 24 hours. In addition to this, one death has been registered in Panvel municipal area on Wednesday (November 25). In total 23,916 have recovered and discharged while the death toll in Panvel is at 576.

Among the new cases found in Panvel municipal area are 10 from Panvel, 19 from New Panvel, 2 from Khanda Colony, 8 from Kalamboli, 7 from Kamothe, 49 from Kharghar and 6 from Taloja. While the recovered patients are six from Panvel, 12 from New Panvel, nine from Kalamboli, 16 from Kamothe, 23 from Kharghar and one from Taloja.

The Panvel Municipal Corporation had demanded 200 beds for isolation from City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO). However, CIDCO agreed to the request but out of 200 beds, only 50 beds were made available to Panvel Municipal Corporation.

Three months ago Raigad District Collector Nidhi Chaudhary had provided 53 ICU beds for Panvel. Out of which 10 beds have been given to Sub-District Hospital at Panvel, 33 beds to MGM Hospital at Kamothe and DY Patil Hospital at Nerul.

Maharashtra reported 6,159 new COVID-19 cases, 4,844 recoveries and 65 death on Wednesday (November 25) taking the total number of cases in the state to 17,95,959. The total number of recovered patients in Maharashtra are 16,63,723. While the death toll is at 46,748 in Maharashtra.
