On July 17, 524 new cases of coronavirus were recorded in Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation region. The area also recorded nine deaths in the same period of time. The total number of cases recorded is more than 14 thousand.
602 patients were cured on Thursday and currently, 6,208 patients are being treated. The total number of cured cases stands at 8,165 and 225 deaths have been recorded. From the new cases 101 are from Kalyan East, 134 from Kalyan West, 141from Dombivali East, 106 from Dombivali West, 4 from Manda Titwala, 33 from Mohana and five from Piswali.
The total number of coronavirus cases in Maharashtra as on July 16 stands at 2,84,281. More than 1.5 lakh patients have been cured and the total number of active cases in the state is 1,14,648. On the other hand, the total number of cases in Mumbai on July 16 stands at 97,950
The recovery rate of the state is at 55.63 per cent and more than 14 lakh samples have been tested so far. The authorities are working on various levels in order to ensure that the situation can be brought under control. A strict lockdown has been imposed in containment areas.
India, on the other hand, has crossed the mark of 1 million marks in terms of the number of cases.
