Coronavirus cases in Kalyan Dombivali are on a rise once again, and as per recent data released by the state health department, the localities here have a total of 36,511 cases. Officials at the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) are imposing strict guidelines to ensure the spread of the virus is contained, however, the increasing numbers have added to the worries and stress faced by the public. 

As of September 09, 2020, 785 new corona patients were identified in Kalyan Dombivli, and one patient passed away in one day, due to the infection. Besides this, more than 300 patients have been discharged in the last 24 hours. A total of 698 people have died from the coronavirus infection so far.

  • Kalyan West 154
  • Dombivali East 167
  • Dombivali West 90
  • Titwala 42
  • Mohana 13 patients.

Out of the discharged patients, 143 were from Tata Hospital, 18 patients were from VAHBP, 4 patients R. R. Hospital, 3 patients from Patidar Kovid Care Center, 3 from Shastrinnagar Hospital, and 73 patients from Dombivali Gymkhana COVID Dedicated Hospital. Patients who have recovered from hospitals have been discharged and advised further care.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra on September 09, 2020, had 23,816 cases in a day. As per the data released by the concerned department, 13,906 patients discharged today and so far 6,86,462 COVID-19 patients have been discharged after the treatment. The recovery rate in the state currently stands at 70.96 per cent.

Besides this, 325 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state today, and the case fatality rate in Maharashtra is reported to be 2.87 per cent.

Officials have tested a total of 48,83,006 laboratory samples, out of which 9,67,349 have been tested positive (19.81 per cent) for COVID-19 until today. As of Wednesday, 16,11,280 people are under the home quarantine protocol and 37,644 people have been admitted under the institutional quarantine.
