According to reports, Mumbai on Monday, July 19, reported the lowest single-day tally in over five months with 348 cases. The city had reported the same number of coronavirus cases on January 25.

Meanwhile, Tuesday, July 20, saw a slight hike in the daily count with 351 fresh COVID-19 cases. However, the city’s last low number of cases was on February 2 at 334.

Maharashtra, on the other hand, registered 6,910 cases on Tuesday, July 20, compared to 6,017 the day before, on July 19.

During the same period, the number of deaths increased from 66 to 147, while the number of active cases decreased from 96,375 to 94,593. Whereas, in Mumbai, 10 deaths have been registered, bringing the total number of casualties to date to 15,787.

According to the data revealed by BMC, it had performed 22,015 tests, averaging 30,000 times a day.
