The spike in coronavirus cases due to the second wave of the pandemic seems to be on a decline. On Tuesday, August 10, 5,609 patients were detected with COVID-19 across Maharashtra.
Moreover, 7,720 people have recovered and returned home whereas 137 people have died. In addition, the number of active patients in the state has come down to 66,123. Pune district has the highest number of active patients which stand at 13,892.
According to sources, there are 7,297 active patients in Sangli district whereas the number is 6,469 in the Satara district, 6,192 in Ahmednagar district, 670 in Thane district and 4,501 in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) area.
