Navi Mumbai reported 79 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, January 20 talking the tally up to 52,375. While 50,408 people have made a complete recovery from this disease, one death has been reported and the death toll now stands at 1,077. At present, 845 patients are undergoing treatment in Navi Mumbai. While the recovery rate is at 96 per cent.

On Wednesday, 21 new cases were found in Belapur, 11 in Nerul, 12 in Vashi, five in Turbhe, nine in Koparkhairane, six in Ghansoli and 15 in Airoli.

While, the recovered patients are 13 from Belapur, seven from Nerul, four from Vashi, three from Turbhe, six from Koparkhairane, three from Ghansoli, eight from Airoli and one from Digha.

On Wednesday, January 20, Maharashtra recorded 3,015 fresh cases of the novel coronavirus. This propelled the state's COVID-19 tally to 19,97,992. Currently, there are 46,769 active cases in the state. With 4,589 COVID-19 patients discharged in the day, the number of recovered soared to 18,99,428.

More than 59 people from the state have lost their lives to this disease in the last 24 hours while the total has now mounted to 50,582. While 2,18,325 persons are under home quarantine, 2,230 others have been admitted to institutional quarantine centres. The COVID-19 recovery rate and fatality rate in the state stand at 95.07 per cent, and 2.53 per cent respectively.

Meanwhile, India reported 15,223 new cases, 19,965 recoveries and 151 deaths taking the tally up to 1,06,10,883 on Wednesday, January 20. According to the data by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in total 1,02,65,706 have completely recovered. The death toll is at 1,52,869 in the country. At present, there are 1,92,308 active cases. According to the ICMR, 18,93,47,782 samples have been tested up to January 20. So far, 8,06,484 healthcare workers have been vaccinated in the country.
