A 50-year-old man suffered a heart-attack but managed to survive. The man survived because he was rescued on a bike.

The man complained of heartache at Mazgaon on August 17. His family immediately rushed him to the nearby hospital. His ECG was done and the report was sent to Dr Shoaib Padaria, Interventional Cardiologist and Director of vascular sciences at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre through a WhatsApp message. After investigating the ECG, Dr Padaria advised the family to hospitalise him immediately.

Considering the traffic situation, his family members decided to take him on a bike. And the decision proved to be crucial as beating the Mumbai traffic was very important.

Whenever a man suffers a heart-attack, there should not be a delay in the treatment. The earlier patients arrive at the hospital, better are the chances of him surviving. The man was saved because he was brought on a bike,” Dr Shoiab Padariya.
