The state government has given instructions to install breastfeeding rooms in public places and offices. According to this, steps are being taken towards starting Hirkani Rooms in all the hospitals and medical colleges of Mumbai. Maharashtra State Social Services Superintendents Association has decided to start breastfeeding rooms in government hospitals.
Many women bring their children to the hospital for treatment, but due to lack of beds in the hospital, the children are not able to breastfeed. Due to this the child remains hungry.
Therefore, lactation room facilities were made available in some government hospitals in Mumbai. After receiving good response, Maharashtra State Social Services Superintendents Association has decided to start breastfeeding rooms in government hospitals.
