Most schools and colleges in Mumbai remain closed as a result of the rise in COVID-19 cases. Meanwhile, a junior college in Kandivali (West) is being alleged of recently hosting a farewell party for students of Class XII.

Parents of the students at Dr Jiten Mody Junior College in Kandivali said that the college scheduled the said party on March 13 while also inviting students and teachers.

“We have received a complaint and have thus asked the junior college to furnish information on the event and how it was held despite strict guidelines against large gatherings and opening of schools for students,” said RS Naikwadi, Education Inspector for the region said.
