Mumbai recorded 969 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday which is less as compared to the number of cases recorded on Monday which was 1,158.

The cases of coronavirus have been on a constant rise around the country. Maharashtra is one of the most affected states due to the virus. Mumbai recorded 969 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday which is less as compared to the number of cases recorded on Monday which was 1,158. The total number of coronavirus cases in Mumbai is 95,100.

70 deaths were reported in the last 48 hours. 56 of these patients had co-morbidities. Furthermore, of the people that lost their battle to Coronavirus, 49 were male and 21 female patients. 2 people who died were below the age of 20 years, 44 above the age of 40, and 24 were between the age of 40 to 60 years.

According to the data by the Brihanmumbai municipal corporation (BMC), the recovery rate of Mumbai has gone up to 70 per cent which is a sign of relief. The overall growth rate of coronavirus cases in Mumbai (July 7-July13,2020) is 1.34 per cent. The doubling rate has increased to 52 days.

More than 4 lakh tests have been done till July 13, 2020, and more than 35 thousand houses have been visited for a survey.

1,011 patients have been discharged in the last 24 hours, 66,633 patients have been recovered. The total number of active cases in Mumbai is 22,828.

The total number of coronavirus cases in Maharashtra stands at 2,67,665. 1,49,007 patients have been discharged and the total number of active cases is at 1,07,665. India has recorded more than 9.3 lakh cases to date.
