In accordance with the containment measures taken on Tuesday, January 11, there are no active containment zones in the city which can be attributed to the revised guidelines issued by the Centre. The number of active sealed buildings, however, is at 56.

According to reports, BMC Commissioner, Iqbal Singh Chahal remarked that owing to the recent change in the national coronavirus testing guidelines where it has been directed that only symptomatic cases will be tested, it is likely that a spike positivity will be created since the majority of the symptomatic cases would be almost confirmed positive cases.
