No new COVID-19 case reported in Dharavi in the last 24 hours

Mumbai’s civic body, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has informed that Dharavi has not reported a single coronavirus case in the last 24 hours.

According to sources, the number of COVID-19 patients has also declined in Mahim as well as Dadar in the recent past. On Sunday, August 8, six patients were found in Dadar whereas only four patients were found in Mahim. Earlier, no patient was COVID-19 positive patient was reported across Dharavi on June 14 and 15 for two consecutive days. In addition, no patients were found on June 23, July 4, July 7, July 17 and August 3. For the fifth time in a row, no patients were found Sunday in the B section at Sandhurst Road.

Meanwhile, at present, 4,196 patients are undergoing treatment in Mumbai. Of these, only 1,440 patients have symptoms whereas 2,284 patients have no symptoms. The highest number of patients under treatment is in the Andheri and Jogeshwari areas. Moreover, there are 328 patients in the western part of Andheri, Jogeshwari whereas there are 202 patients in the eastern part i.e. K East.

This is followed by Malabar, D section of Grant Road with 265 patients. There are 250 patients in H West, part of Bandra, Santacruz West. The lowest number of 8 patients under treatment is in B port, which is part of Masjid Bunder, a hilly area.
