COVID-19 recovery rate in Thane reaches 90 per cent

As per reports, the COVID-19 recovery rate in the Thane Municipal Corporation for the last couple of days has reached 90 per cent even with the rise in cases of coronavirus.

The COVID-19 recovery rate in Thane city stands at 90.24 per cent, Kalyan-92.58 per cent, Mira Bhayander-90.73 per cent, Navi Mumbai-91.46 per cent, Ulhasnagar-90.97 per cent, Ambernath-92.29 per cent, Badlapur-94.91 per cent, Bhiwandi- 88.70 per cent and Thane rural-83.95 per cent.

Moreover, the mortality rate in the municipal sector has also come down from 2.78 per cent to 2.56 per cent. Various measures were being taken by the municipal administration to increase the recovery rate of the patients whose effects are now visible. With the outbreak of the coronavirus, the number of COVID-19 patients witnessed an increase in the month of September when the doubling rate was 60 days. However, the situation has seen an improvement over the last couple of days as the doubling rate reached 69 days. As per reports, currently, the doubling rate stands at 77 days.

So far, 44,093 patients have tested positive for the coronavirus in the Thane Municipal Corporation area. Of these, 39,788 patients have been cured whereas 1,110 have succumbed to the disease. Earlier, a minimum of 2,000 tests was done daily with an average of 200 patients testing positive every day. However, as of now, more than 5,000 tests are being conducted daily with an average of 300-350 people testing positive every day.
