Kolhapur and Sangli Flood Relief: JJ Hospital Issues A Booklet and Will Send A Team Of Doctors To The Affected Areas

JJ Hospital will be sending a team of psychiatrists, counsellors along with two trucks of medicines to the flood affected areas in Maharashtra


Amid the recent floods at Kolhapur and Sangli in Western Maharashtra, Sir Jamshedji Jeejeebhoy (JJ) Hospital will be releasing a booklet which will provide information on what to do during natural calamities. There is a severe outbreak of water-borne diseases during floods, therefore, the booklet which is compiled by Head Of Departments (HODs) of departments like medicine, psychiatric, surgery, pharmacological, preventive and social medicine (PSM) will be guiding on the preventive measures and treatments of the diseases as well.

Lakhs of people have been affected with their houses and livestock being completely submerged. Though the government is going to provide rehabilitation, they will be suffering from mental trauma. Therefore JJ Hospital will be sending a team of counsellors and psychiatrists to make the people mentally strong through counselling. There can be a severe outbreak of diseases like cholera, diarrhoea etc. Hence, the hospital authorities will further be sending two trucks of medicine for the affected ones.  

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and Cabinet Ministers are going to donate their one month's salary to the flood victims and many Ganpati pandals in Mumbai have come together and pledged donations from their confers. Here's how you can donate for the same- Kolhapur and Sangli Flood Relief
