Due to heavy rainfall, areas in Western Maharashtra along with Kolhapur and Sangli have been flooded which has resulted in the residents facing a great deal of trouble. The rivers are flowing above the danger mark which has caused loss of communication between neighbouring villages. Numerous houses have been ravaged whereas the people are still struggling to find hygenic food and water.

Accordingly, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced immediate financial aid of ₹5,000 for the families affected by floods. Along with the CM's assistance, various Ganesh Mandals have come forward to offer a helping hand. 

Chinchpokli Sarvajanik Utsav Mandal

The Chinchpokli Sarvajanik Utsav Mandal, which organises the Chinchpokli Chintamani Ganesh, has announced a donation of ₹5 lakh to the Chief Minister Relief Fund to help the flood-affected victims rebuild their homes.

The organisers had kept four boxes for the devotees to donate money for the flood victims and the initiative has received a positive response. The total collection will be donated to the victims in Kohlapur and Sangli.

Chinchbunder-Dongri Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal (Dongricha Raja)

The organisers of Dongricha Raja, Chinchbunder-Dongri Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal have announced that the amount offered by the devotees throughout the festival will be offered to the flood victims. The Mandal too has announced the donation will be made to the Chief Minister Relief Fund.

Sewricha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal

The Sewricha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal has announced a relief fund of ₹1,00,000 for the stationery and basic neccesity items. Accordingly, the mandal will distribute the items on August 15, 2019.
