As per reports, the Airport Council International (ACI) has lauded the efforts undertaken by the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in view of the pandemic. 

Mumbai Airport has received an honour from the Airport Council International affiliated airports amidst the outbreak of the coronavirus with regards to the measures implemented by CSMIA. After flights resumed on May 25, various rules and norms were followed in order to curb the spread of the contagious disease.

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport had earlier associated with the Airports Council International to inform and help passengers remain updated on the latest health and safety procedures that are being followed at various airports. With this initiative, passengers travelling through the city could access end-to-end information on health measures adopted by CSMIA as well other airports thereby getting a better understanding of the procedures to follow at each airport.

Meanwhile, Mumbai reported 706 fresh cases of the coronavirus, the lowest daily count in more than two months, taking the COVID-19 tally to 2,59,114 on Monday, November 2. This was the lowest daily COVID-19 count in nearly 70 days. Earlier on August 25, the city had reported 587 cases. On the other hand, according to the data shared by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the death toll in the city reached 10,305 with 30 fresh fatalities reported in the past 24 hours.
