In order to provide angioplasty facilities at low cost to the poor and needy patients who come for treatment from all corners of Maharashtra. The JJ hospital's cath lab was recently updated. But in order to provide more citizens with the latest facilities, two more cath labs will be set up in the  JJ hospital this year. This will provide relief to heart disease patients.


Most Angioplasty Surgery in Mumbai are done in the JJ hospital. But for the past few days, one of the two machines in the hospital's cath lab shut down. The state government has recently upgraded this centre. A new machine was introduced in this centre. This updated cath lab will surely benefit the common patient for angioplasty. Upgrading the hospital's cath lab will enable 15 angioplasty, angiography and heart valve replacement surgeries to be performed daily. Five thousand patients will undergo surgery every year. It is believed that henceforth it will help the patients to get better treatment.

Considering the number of patients coming to the JJ hospital, now two more cath labs are to be opened in the hospital. Due to this, it will be possible to provide angioplasty facilities to the poor and needy patients from all corners of Maharashtra at a very low cost, said JJ hospital founder Dr. Pallavi Saple said. Vidhan Sabha Speaker Rahul Narvekar has assured to provide all possible support and financial funds for these two cath labs, said Dr. Saple.
