171 COVID-19 cases were found in Navi Mumbai taking the caseload up to 56,945 while one person has lot their life.

Navi Mumbai reported 171 COVID-19 cases on Thursday, March 11 talking the tally up to 56,945. While 54,195 people have made a complete recovery from this disease, one death has been reported and the death toll now stands at 1,133. At present 1,617 patients are undergoing treatment in Navi Mumbai.

On Thursday, 22 new cases were found in Belapur, 42 in Nerul, 19 in Vashi, 19 in Turbhe, 21 in Koparkhairane, 16 in Ghansoli, 31 in Airoli and one in Digha.

While, the recovered patients are 27 from Belapur, two from Nerul, 32 from Vashi, 11 from Turbhe, 12 from Koparkhairane, 22 from Ghansoli and 27 from Airoli.

On Thursday, March 11, Maharashtra recorded 14,317 fresh cases of the novel coronavirus. This propelled the state's COVID-19 tally to 22,66,374. Currently, there are 1,06,070 active cases in the state. With 7,193 COVID-19 patients discharged in the day, the number of recovered soared to 21,06,400.

More than 57 people from the state have lost their lives to this disease in the last 24 hours while the total has now mounted to 52,667. While 4,80,083 persons are under home quarantine, 4,719 others have been admitted to institutional quarantine centres. The COVID-19 recovery rate and fatality rate in the state stand at 92.94 per cent, and 2.32 per cent respectively.

Meanwhile, India reported 23,285 new cases, 15,157 recoveries and 117 deaths taking the tally up to 1,13,08,846 on Thursday, March 11. According to the data by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in total 1,09,53,303 have completely recovered. The death toll is at 1,58,306 in the country. At present, there are 1,97,237 active cases. So far, 2,61,64,920 healthcare and frontline workers have been vaccinated in the country.
