Maharashtra: Now, Thane is free from the delta plus variant of coronavirus

Currently, Delta Plus patients have been detected in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Kerala, Karnataka, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir, said the health ministry.

According to the latest reports, the only patient of the delta plus variant of coronavirus in Thane district has recovered. 

A few days ago, a Delta Plus patient was found in Thane. He was originally from Raigad. The patient was treated at Navi Mumbai. He is recovered and discharged from the hospital. Moreover, the examination of those who came in contact with the patient revealed that no one else had been infected with Delta Plus.

Apart from that, earlier in the day, it came to light that three children from Ratnagiri have recovered from the Delta Plus variant.

A total of nine patients were found in Sangameshwar taluka of Ratnagiri district which included three children of age three, four and six. However, it is said that three children from Ratnagiri who were infected with the Delta Plus COVID-19 variant have recovered from the illness and are doing well. They have also been discharged from the hospital.

Besides, another 14 new Delta Plus patients have been identified in Maharashtra as on June 29. With this, the total number of Delta Plus patients in the country has reached to 66.

Currently, Delta Plus patients have been detected in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Kerala, Karnataka, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir, said the health ministry.
