Mumbaikars are so accustomed to stress that they fail to realise that they have become a puppet of social networking websites. There are many who go out and socialise but the number is very less. Nowadays, people spend most of their time on social networking websites (socialising) which in turn is proving harmful.
According to a survey conducted by Central Health and Family Welfare Ministry, Mumbaikars are the ones who face a lot of stress and are suffering from mental illness.
A team of psychiatrists from JJ Hospital carried out a survey where they found out that Mumbai residents are in dire need of counselling.
Mumbai - 38,588
Kolkatta - 27,394
Bengaluru - 24,348
According to a report, people living in Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru are falling prey to mental illness and around 1.5 lakh people are taking treatment for the same in Maharashtra. Patients who are being treated comprise of children as we all as senior citizens.
