In a shocking incident, 15-year-old Hritvik Ghadshi has died due to a heart attack at his residence. He was pursuing SSC from Shishu Vihar school and used to stay with his mother and two sisters at Prabhadevi.
Hrithvik was all set to appear for his first exam scheduled on Thursday but he never woke up. According to the doctors, he suffered a heart attack in the night and when his mother tried waking him up in the morning, he didn’t move. He was then rushed to KEM Hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Hrithvik was admitted in the morning but he died on his way to the hospital. Prima facie he suffered a severe heart attack,” Dr Avinash Supe, Dean, KEM Hospital.
His mother was a maid and was managing his education. After conducting a post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family.
Mumbai Live spoke to one of the doctors of Wockhardt Hospital, he clarified that there might be two reasons for the heart attack, one can be Cardiac Channelopathies and other is Cardiomyopathy. The doctor added that cardiomyopathy is a specific type of heart attack commonly linked with sudden emotional stress and cardiac channelopathies have no other heart disease but they carry mutations in the genes that determine the regulation of heart membrane pores (channels) and are predisposed to heart rhythm abnormalities.
