The Indian Meteorological Department believes that in coming days, heat is going to increase manifold and so people should take care of themselves. The state government took IMD’s observation in consideration and State Disaster Management Authority Director Suhas Diwase issued a circular asking BMC commissioner, Collector’s office, and divisional commissioner office to come out various measures regarding heat.

They have asked the authorities concerned to take help of media to create awareness regarding scorching heat, build shades, and keep water containers at public places. Along with this, they have been asked to carry out awareness programmes regarding the same.

State Disaster Management Authority has also alerted residents to carry goggles, caps, umbrellas to beat the heat. Also, one should consume buttermilk, nimbu paani, and other drinks during the summer season. They have also asked residents to avoid coming out in noon time i.e. from 12 noon to 3.30 pm.
