Trending Viral Video: Stray Dogs Seen Inside a Patient Ward at Government Hospital in Nagpur

A newly surfaced video of stray dogs venturing inside a patient ward at a Nagpur hospital has gone viral. The video reportedly captured at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Nagpur shows a few dogs walking into the corridors and the patient rooms of the hospital. 

The video reportedly surfaced on February 2 while officials have now ordered a probe into the matter.

Speaking to ANI, Medical Superintendent at GMCH Avinash Gawande said, “Today morning we received information that a video of stray dogs roaming inside the medical college is going viral. We are investigating the incident to verify facts that surfaced in the purported video. We will take action against the people responsible.”

“The medical college has been handling a lot of work since the COVID-19 pandemic. It is important that people do not lose faith in medical colleges. If this has happened we are ready to take appropriate action and corrective measures so that the trust of people in medical colleges remains firm,” he added.

Gawande further said that a security meeting is conducted at GMCH every month, adding that they have formed two teams to make inspection visits at hospitals to take action against any such incidents.
