In the last five months, this is the seventh time when railway police personnel, ticket checker and even in one case point man at Kalyan railway station saved lives of passengers falling during boarding or de-boarding moving trains.

In another heart-warming incident, an alert Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel has yet again saved a women’s life from falling under a moving train at a railway station in Mumbai.

On Monday, November 29, a 71-year-old woman slipped on the platform from the moving train but was fortunately rescued at Kalyan station in Thane district of Maharashtra.

The incident took place when the woman, identified as Sarubai Karsude, slipped while trying to de-board the moving train.

She was trying to get into the 22159 CSMT-Chennai mail express train when she lost balance and fell in the gap between the platform and the train.

An alert RPF personnel, Updesh Yadav, who was posted at the platform number 4, immediately rushed to the rescue of the woman and pulled her out from the gap. The incident was captured on the CCTC camera.

In a video, the woman could be seen slipping as she tries to de-board the train. The RPF personnel is then seen rushing to the woman's rescue and pulling her to safety.

According to reports, in the last five months, this is the seventh time when railway police personnel, ticket checker and even in one case point man at Kalyan railway station saved lives of passengers falling during boarding or de-boarding moving trains. 

Therefore, Shivaji Sutar, chief public relations officer of Central railway said, "Railway appeals passengers not to board or de-board a running train."
