The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced plans to build a parking facility in Worli, located in G South Ward. The parking lot will be situated close to the BMC Engineering Hub building on Dr. E. Moses Road. It is expected to accommodate approximately 640 cars.

According to estimates, the project will cost INR 216.94 crore. The tender has been put out by the civic authority. It calls for interested companies that can plan, design, and build an advanced underground and elevated multilevel parking system or something similar to that.

The BMC has also given requirements for the firms interested in the tender. This includes managing annual maintenance and maintaining the parking lot for twenty years post-completion. The contractor will also be responsible for running, maintaining, and cleaning the parking system for five years.

Before submitting a tender, the company will have to design a blueprint for the entire parking lot and conduct soil testing.

The contracting company is expected to let the BMC engineers know about how they will address various aspects such as flooring, pits, electricity, fire alarms, power sources, facade lighting, flooring, and connectivity with the roads to the parking lot. These plans will later be approved by the engineer-in-charge.

The firm is required to demolish the current structure, collect the items that can be used, and deliver them to the BMC shop. It will also have to dispose of the remains at locations specified by the BMC solid waste management authority. The new engineering hub's canopy and ramp must also be dismantled following the method decided.

The civic body has assured helping the Project Management Consultant (PMC) obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Mumbai Metro Corporation for the parking spaces for two-wheelers and ammunition storage for the security department.
