Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has allocated ₹1.25 crores to illuminate the walkways and paths at Shivaji Park. The CM allotted the funds from his Member of Legislative Council (MLC) fund. Interestingly, this will be one of the first projects conducted using the Chief Minister’s MLC fund.

This follows the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) proposal to renovate Shivaji Park at a cost of ₹4 crores. Thackeray recently sent a letter to the Mumbai Suburban Collector Milind Borikar requesting the allotment of funds.
