On Tuesday, September 28, Municipal commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal asked The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)'s official that all the war footing potholes should be filled in two to three weeks.

In a review meeting, Chahal directed the ward officials to make sure potholes were filled on priority by visiting their respective wards personally.

It was just on Tuesday, September 28, where Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar directed the BMC to fill all the potholes in 8-10 days.

The BMC, in their statement, said that road engineers are instructed to attend to all the complaints on priority and close all the potholes.

They further added that the administration had filled more than 40,000 potholes in the city since April 2021. Due to the traffic and increased rains in the last few days, potholes have emerged again.
