Of 9018 houses, only 7300 houses were released as more than 1700 houses did not receive applications

On August 25, 2018, MHADA’s Konkan board released a lottery for over 9,000 houses at MHADA headquarters at Bandra. The lottery was released by Home Minister Prakash Mehta and Education Minister Vinod Tawde. Ranjani Vyas became the first winner of the Konkan Board lottery.

Prior to this, my husband had applied for MHADA lottery but we didn’t win. This is the first time, I applied and I won the house. I am very happy that I won a house in Kalyan. Currently, we are residing in a rented flat in Jogeshwari. Kalyan seems far but the feeling of residing in our own house is an altogether different thing,” Kalpita Mahadik, Winner.

As more than 1700 houses did not receive applications, MHADA’s Konkan Board released the lottery for tentative 7300 houses for which 55,324 applicants had shown interest. Houses that did not receive applications will be handed over to the winners whose names have appeared on the waiting list.
