A scheme to provide affordable homes to 7,500 buyers will soon be launched by MHADA. Home Minister Jitendra Awhad has informed that preparations are underway for the draw of MHADA's Konkan Mandal and Mumbai Mandal. He also said that houses will be made available through joint ventures with developers.
While speaking at an event organized at the MHADA headquarters on the occasion of the eighth anniversary of the MHADA Press Association, he said that the focus would be on land acquisition and housing. Houses will be made available through partnership housing and plot acquisitions. Efforts to streamline MHADA have not been successful, Awhad said. The draw houses are in Thane, Kalyan and Navi Mumbai. The draw houses in Konkan Mandal was delayed due to lockdown.

These houses have been built according to the needs of the Eastern tradition and even if they are sitting houses, the SRA scheme will not be implemented there, ”informed Jitendra Awhad.
