A massive fire broke out at a chemical factory in the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area of Ambernath, Thane on Thursday morning, March 11.

The incident took place around 5:45 am at RK Company in Ambernath’s Anand Nagar area.

According to the reports, eight fire engines of Ambernath and Badlapur fire stations have been rushed to the spot and firefighting operations are underway.

However, no casualties have been reported so far. Though, the cause of fire is not known yet.

In another incident that was reported two days ago, on March 9 a massive fire broke out at a plastic factory in the Asangaon area of Thane. Meanwhile, yesterday, on March 10, a major fire broke out at a dumping ground in Ulhasnagar.

This is a developing story. More details are awaited.
