Save Aarey has filed a complaint against MMRC to Aarey Milk Colony Chief and are also asking for an official complaint. Metro-3 car sheds are going to be constructed on 33 hectares of Aarey land. This wasn’t accepted by team ‘Save Aarey’ lightly and fought against it.

The land MMRC is constructing n falls under the ‘no development zone’ but MMRC is still continuing the construction work and ‘Save Aarey’ members are not at all happy about it. The Metro-3 project has been scrutinised to the core and this piece of news just adds to their woes.

The MMRC site office is at the picnic spot at aarey. Save Aarey noticed that the site office was stealing electricity from a milk stall on the opposite side.

We tried to get in touch with an MMRC employee but there was no response from their side. A loose wire on the road could prove to be fatal to somebody’s health and that’s a big reason to worry. Aarey has demanded strict action to be taken against MMRC.

If a complaint isn’t registered by the milk colony, and if the theft of electricity continues, we will take this matter to the National Green Tribunal,” Biju Augustine, Member, Save Aarey.
