MMRDA has decided to reserve 500 metres outside all 30 stations of Metro 2A (Dahisar-DN Nagar) and Metro 7 (Dahisar East-Andheri East) for rickshaws, cycles and private vehicles. It was found in the survey that 25 per cent of the passengers will use auto, about 1 per cent will use their bicycles and 5 per cent of commuters will travel by private cars.

The footpath will be a minimum of 2.5 metres in width along with the length of the corridor. MMRDA is further planning to even have benches and trees. To ensure proper traffic movement, there will even be parking bays for buses, rickshaw and private vehicles which will serve as pick-up and drop off points.
