In May, 9,661 houses were sold in Mumbai and the state government got a revenue of INR 820 crore as stamp duty. More than 15,000 houses were sold in April. A slight decline in home sales has been observed in May. 


It was thought that the construction business would boom after the end of the Corona crisis. But in 2022, house sales remained stable, there was no significant increase in house sales. A similar situation is seen in 2023. Between 9 and 13 thousand houses have been sold in the last five months. In January, 9,000 houses were sold and a revenue of INR 692 crore has been obtained from this.

In February, 9,684 houses were sold and a revenue of INR 1,111 crore was obtained. However, in March, home sales crossed the 13,000 mark. In March, 13,151 houses were sold and the revenue was INR 1,225 crore. Home sales rose slightly in March. However, in April there was a slight decline in home sales. In April, 10,514 houses were sold and a revenue of INR 899 crore was obtained from these house sales.


More than 10,000 houses were sold in March and April. However, not even 10 thousand houses could be sold in May. In the month of May, 9,661 houses were sold and this earned a revenue of INR 820 crore. Basically, there is always a slowdown in home sales in May. So during Dussehra-Diwali, there is an increase in the sale of houses. Therefore, house sales are likely to increase in September-October.
