Metro 4 projects will relieve the people of Thane from the traffic jam. The work of Wadala-Ghatkopar-Kasarvadavali metro four line is likely to be completed next year i.e. by 2025.
MP Rajan Vichare inspected the Metro 4 projects along with officials from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) department. At that time, the officials informed that the project is 65.32 percent complete and will be completed by December 2025. After this is completed, the journey of Thanekars will be smooth and easy. Also, there is a possibility that the citizens will be freed from the Ghodbunder traffic. Also the stress on Central Railway traffic will also be reduced.
For this, the Municipal Corporation has prepared a DPR amounting to 10 thousand 412.61 crores and it has been submitted to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India. The state government has given approval for this project. But the internal metro project has been stalled due to the lack of approval from the central government.
