From May, travel Thane to Dombivli in just 20 minutes!

Now, commuters will be able to travel from Thane to Dombivali in just 20 minutes. The Motagaon-Mankoli creek bridge undertaken by the Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA) is 84 percent complete. The remaining work will be completed and this bridge and road will be put into traffic service by May 2023.

Dring the Motagaon Mankoli creek Bridge & road review visit of Hon Metropolitan Commissioner Shri SVR Srinivas,IAS he instructed the team to expedite work & the fanning work of service road at Thane & Nasik side to begin immediately after shifting of TMC water pipeline.

Passengers face traffic jams to reach Dombivli from Thane and to go towards Dombivli from Mumbai-Nashik highway, one has to pass from Kalyan. And other options are time consuming. Keeping this in mind, MMRDA decided to construct a six-tier Mankoli Bridge and a causeway across Ulhas Bay. Mankoli-Motagaon link road is 1.3 km long. MMRDA has been working on this project for the past few years and Metropolitan Commissioner S. V. R. Srinivas inspected the project on Tuesday and reviewed the work.
