As the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) has stepped into its sixth season, several talented players from various teams have emerged. One such player, Siddharth Desai recently registered a record to his name as he became the fastest player to reach 50 raids. The Maharashtra Kabaddi team captain reached the landmark in mere four matches.

Kabaddi is considered to be one of the country’s chief games and over the years, the popularity of the game has grown immensely. In order, to provide Kabaddi a platform in the country, PKL was inaugurated in India in 2014 and as a result, the game garnered massive response and witnessed a makeover. 

Earlier, Anup Kumar and Ajay Thakur held the record of being the quickest raiders to conduct 50 raids. However, the players had achieved 50 raids in five encounters whereas Siddharth earned the 50 raids in four raids.

Siddharth Desai who is the Maharashtra Kabaddi team captain was bought by U Mumba at ₹34 lakh. Earlier, Anup Kumar was the star raider of the Mumbai team but in his absence, Desai has fulfilled his position as the top raider.
