Tuesday was a day to forget for Mumbai as the city witnessed heavy rainfall and chaos had spread across all over. Pro Kabaddi League also had to be postponed as teams couldn’t make it to the at Dome, NSCI SVP Stadium in Worli.

The match ups between host U Mumba and Gujarat Fortune Giants and Bengaluru Bulls and U.P. Yoddha were rescheduled to a later date.

Yesterday, U Mumba faced Haryana Steelers and won their first home game of the season. The final score was 38-32 as U Mumba got off to a good start.

Captain Cool Anup Kumar top-scored for the Mumbaikars with eight points and was well supported by Shrikant Jadhav (6 points) in attack and Kuldeep Singh (7 points) in defense. Iranian defender Hadi Oshtorak also played his part in the win by notching up four tackle points after coming off the bench.

Today Kuldeep played well and Hadi was also introduced into the game at a crucial time. He came and made [a few] good tackles and got points for the team. The raiders also played well especially Shrikant. In the do-or-die raids also he got important points for the team,” Anup Kumar, U Mumba Captain.

U Mumba lost the previous three games at home and were in a dire need for a win. After the deluge faced by the city earlier this week, this win hopes to bring a few smiles on Mumbai faces.
