Bhandup - Vikas Mandal and Sai Vihar Sarvajanik Ganesh Mandal in Bhandup West have dispatched 'Diwali Faral' for the jawans posted on the country's borders. These mandals have previously celebrated Diwali with orphanages, tribal padas and old age homes and have taken the decision to celebrate Diwali for soldiers this year. With the help of Defence Ministry officers posted in Mumbai, these mandals contacted Army officers posted at the international border near Srinagar. On Monday, the Diwali delicacies were sent off by speed post. Lieutenant Colonel Manish Kumar expressed immense joy on getting people's love through the Diwali sweets, Mandal secretary Amod Karanje said.
