India has various dance forms, based on its various cultures. Lately the artists in the country have been focusing on fusion quite much. Lavni and Bharatnatyam - both are art forms which belong to 2 different states and have 2 different postures to convey the message. In other words, these art forms have vivid differences. Bharatnatyam, Tamil Nadu's dance form, is a refined art from whereas Lavani, Maharashtra's popular dance form, is a free and fluid art form.
In a recently held event, the 2 forms were interestingly put together to portray sringar ras. The event saw how performers of both the art forms drew energies from each other and entertained the audience with their skill.
