Girgaum, Versova, Juhu, Marve, Vasai Jetty, Bhayandar are the potential beaches for the project to launch so that it boosts tourism and gives the locals a chance to make a livelihood. The officials have invited tendors from the interested companies and after shotlisting the companies, they will be permitted to start water sports on the respective beaches.

Wherver this project would be viable along the coastline, services will be set up and Mumbai could soon get a feel like Goa or Tarkarli.

Applications need to be submitted by December 15. Water sports will actually start from February 2018. The permission will be given for five years and the service will be operated by the companies. It is also mandatory for companies to take proper security measures.”
