Bollywood’s blockbuster Hum Aapke Hain Koun is well known for the bonding of Chaoudhury sisters Nisha and Pooja aka Madhuri Dixit and Renuka Sahane. Now, after 23 years, these divas of the entertainment industry are back together for an upcoming Marathi film. Directed by Vijay Devaskar, this movie will see Madhuri Dixit as the lead. The untitled film is produced by Vivek Rangachari.

In an exclusive interaction with Mumbai Live, Renuka Shahane spoke about the movie, her bond with Madhuri and much more..

The role is not too long but it indeed very special
I am really excited to play the role of Tejas, initially, I was unaware that Madhuri is the lead in this film. I liked the role and so agreed to be a part of the film. This year my son is appearing for his board exams and therefore I was not keen on signing any film with a major role.

It feels awe-inspiring to work with Madhuri
When I got to know that Madhuri is a part of the film I felt happy. After 23 years, we are working together. Whenever we used to meet during events or even in person, the only thing we used to discuss is working together in a film. But now I am very happy that we are working together on a Marathi movie.

The chit-chat session with Madhuri in between shots
Madhuri and I share many similarities. So we used to have long chat sessions about our lives, work, children and much more in between the scenes.

Madhuri is very down to Earth
Everybody on set was very much tensed when they got to know that Madhuri is going to come. There was a lot of pressure on everyone's mind to work with such a great artist. But she was pretty much excited and confident for each scene.

Film details still under the wraps
We are going to keep this a secret and surprise for the audience. But I can assure everybody that viewers will definitely enjoy this movie.
