An exclusive interaction with National Award Winner and Dashakriya star Manoj Joshi

The multitalented actor Manoj Joshi who will be seen essaying the role of Keshav Bhatt in the upcoming Marathi movie ‘Dashakriya’ says that he feels great to win a National award for a movie like Dashakriya as the subject is very close to his heart.“I, my father, grandfather and their forefathers, we all belong to the Brahmin Samaj, so I have seen all these rituals happening in front of my eyes. I had written a theatre piece named Karma in the year 1982 which was a conversation that took place between my grandfather and my father and in that drama I had essayed a role like Keshav Bhatt,” shares the versatile actor walking down memory lane.

The storyline of the movie Dashakriya is based on the tenth day ritual after death. National award winner Dashakriya has also received a big round of applause at the Cannes Film Festival and the Goa International Film Festival. Along with Manoj Joshi, the film also features Dilip Prabhavalkar, Asha Shelar, Milind Shinde, Uma Sardeshmukh, Santosh Mayekar, Milind Pathak, Aditi Deshpande who have given their outstanding performances.



Talking about the ensemble cast Manoj Joshi mentions, “Superb, mind-blowing, brilliant casting; It was a great experience working with the legendary Dilip Kaka. Aditi Deshpande has done a magnificent job even Milind Shinde and Milind Pathak has also done a wonderful job. Each and every actor has given best of their abilities for this movie.”

Produced by Kalpana Vilas Kothari film Dashakriya is directed by Sandip Patil and written by Sanjay Krushnaji Patil. Child artist Arya Adhav and Vinayak Ghadigaonkar will also be seen making their debut in the movie.

Dashakriya is all set to hit the theatre screens on 17 November. Addressing to all viewers the veteran actor says, “This movie is a complete entertainment package where you will find different sorts of emotions. Dashakriya is a subject-oriented film which will engross you by giving a message. So do visit your nearest theatre and watch the movie along with your family.”
